Transformation makes the leader

"You have the potential to transform your world. But the key to unlocking that potential lies in your growth."

— John Maxwell

Every day we must take steps outside our comfort zone in order to reach our goals. Getting out of bed and showering to go to work, for example, is one of those steps.

Every goal demands action. And that action leads you to what you desire. If you want ice cream, it won't come to you through the power of your mind alone; you'll have to get up from the couch, go to the store, and buy it, or pick up your phone, order delivery, and once it arrives, get up and go get it.

Everything in life calls for movement; wanting something depends on how willing we are to move from a comfortable place toward another, uncertain and less comfortable one. And that is transformation.

Everything in life calls for movement and transformation.

That's where success lies. Moving will transform you, will make you change. And in that routine of movement, you'll learn things that will make you a better person. Because you'll be overcoming laziness and you'll show the strength you possess when you're willing to give it your all for something you long for, and there, your mind will begin to change; you'll no longer settle for less.

As Maxwell says, "You have the potential to transform your world." We all have the potential to turn what surrounds us into positive things that bring us benefits, but the key lies in growth. No matter how much a child tells his mother he wants to be an astronaut, and no matter how badly he wants it, if he doesn't grow, mature, and study (transformation), he will never achieve it.

This applies to you too, entrepreneurial leader. You must grow from within, gain confidence in yourself, train your character, transform your daily habits, evolve; move from being passive, sprawled on a couch, to being active and up on your feet, working, studying, and developing attitudes that improve your inner world.

Becoming a better person is the first step toward achieving success in our business and life purposes. If you know where you want to go, you just need to give that goal a mission and work toward that mission through transformation. Push yourself and move from where you are, and everyone will trust you as a great leader.

"Success is knowing your purpose in life, growing to reach your maximum potential, and sowing seeds that benefit others."

— John Maxwell
