What does it mean to step out of your comfort zone?

It means bringing your personal and professional growth to life.
When you settle into a place that makes you feel good, comfortable, and relaxed, the last thing you want to do is move from there. Feeling good is so hard to achieve that once you get there, you cling to that space and refuse to move.
Being there feels sweet and pleasant for a while, but eventually so much comfort starts to feel uncomfortable — you get bored, and your mind wakes up in search of something new, grows restless, wants more; and what used to be comfortable now becomes a hindrance.
If you're one of those people who's tired of the same old thing, who already wants to move to the next level and take on challenges that lead to great experiences — the kind that enrich the mind and raise your chances for growth — this article is for you.
The comfort zone is a mental state that blocks growth at both the professional and personal level. It paralyzes you, keeps you from learning, and gets in the way of feeling truly satisfied with the life you're living. That's why you must step out of it.
How? Apply the tips below and practice them little by little; don't try to reach perfection overnight — changes are gradual, taken step by step, at whatever pace you choose.
Here are my tips:
1. Identify your strengths and the obstacles holding you back. Once you know this, you can begin to surpass yourself.
2. Look for new ways of working, new challenges, new people, new trades. This way you'll face your fears and gradually overcome them.
3. Dare to do the things that have always caught your attention — the ones you love but never did because work, the kind that pays the bills, always came first. Do things you're passionate about.
4. Stimulate your mind through reading. Reading inspires you, gives you ideas, and activates your brain to pursue new adventures. It also educates and equips you.
Challenge yourself, do away with your own excuses, open your mind to what you don't yet know but sense will bring you many benefits. It's time to evolve into a better version of yourself. To settle is to die.
